We are pleased to announce that attorney Eric Larsen of Larsen Law PLLC in Franklin, Tennessee, has been selected for the 2018 Super Lawyers list. Eric was selected last year, as well, and has been named to the Rising Stars list since 2015.
Eric has been around the criminal justice system for most of his life. He is the son of a decorated Michigan State Police homicide detective whose cases have been featured over the years on hit TV shows such as "Forensic Files," "Cold Case Files" and "True Detective."
Initially, Eric followed in his father's footsteps, earning a degree in criminal justice and working for 12 years with the Michigan Department of Corrections. As a probation and parole officer, he spent years learning the criminal justice system. It was then that Eric discovered his true passion: helping people avoid the injustices of a system that was supposed to be fair.
He is dedicated to fighting for people who can't fight for themselves and takes pride in being the last line of defense for his clients.
Eric earned his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (now Western Michigan University Cooley Law School) while simultaneously working full time and serving as a husband and father of three.
What is Super Lawyers?
Super Lawyers is a rating service that identifies outstanding attorneys in more than 70 practice areas across the United States. Its patented, multiphase selection process includes peer nominations and evaluations, along with independent research. Every candidate is evaluated for peer recognition and professional achievement based on 12 indicators.
The final Super Lawyers list represents no more than 5 percent of the attorneys in each jurisdiction. Rising Stars are selected the same way but are attorneys who are 40 and younger or in practice for 10 years or less. The final Rising Stars list represents no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each jurisdiction.
The objective is to create a credible, diverse and comprehensive listing of outstanding lawyers that can be used as a resource by consumers and attorneys searching for legal counsel.
